Twitter - Taking a Look
Apr 4th, 2008 | By Stacie | Category: Featured, Social Networking
I have been hearing about Twitter for about a year now. I even checked it out when I first heard of it. My first thought was 'What a time waster' and that is the thought I have kept, with out checking it out again (hmm, does that sound familiar?
) I mean, I'm busy enough as it is, without having to remember one more thing to do, lol.
Weeellll, I have bitten the bullet and set up an account. You can see it at: www.twitter.com/StacieBennett
Why? Why now? I was participating in Lynn Terry's weekly webinar on Tuesday, and everyone was raving about Twittering. So yes, I had a 'peer pressure' moment
. I greatly admire Lynn and try to emulate her, I also consider her one of my friends. So when she finally broke down and signed up, I really didn't need much nudging, lol.
Lynn asked the question 'Twitter: Complete Wast of Time, or Valuable Marketing Tool?' She is attempting to answer this question through the month of April. I am going to be keeping a lot of notes as well, getting my own answer.
I love to network, mostly in person. I am trying to learn more about the online networking that is out there. As I do this, I will keep you informed (I know some of you out there will be like 'get with the program and up to speed, where have you been?) LOL and you would be right, I have been putting it off for too long.
Do you use Twitter? If you do, how do you use it (personal, business)? If you don't why not?
Talk soon,

It’s a lot to soak in, but I really like this way of networking. I feel like I’m in good company, too. Thanks for the useful post, Stacie.
Best,
Mary
Lynn convinced me too and I signed up for Twitter yesterday. I’m following you there. Very interested to see where it leads us.
@Mary - I am really liking it too. No let me rephrase that “I’m LOVING it”
@Linda - I am definitely looking forward to the journey, lol.
