An Overview

cover01.gifProduct creation can be hard, if you don't have a plan. I've been through the process a few times and I'm still surprised at how much goes into it, besides just creating the product. Before we go any further, I have to confess I am a list junkie. So any time there is something to do, or something to share, I'm probably going to present it as a list Wink. Don't worry, I'm not going to leave you hanging, we are going to explore the list in detail, with each item having its very own article.

Now on to our list. What goes into creating a digital product?

  • Idea - Need to have an idea for your product (I know I can hear you "Well, duh!", but I want our list complete, lol) Fix a problem or fill a need (more details - PC1 Getting The Idea)
  • Pick out an idea, get organized (more details - PC2 Picking The Idea)
  • Find or create your content (more details - PC3 Creating The Product Part 1 - Getting The Content)
  • Create the product - This is not as easy as it sounds, make a plan and work the plan, schedule your tasks (more details - PC3 Creating The Product Part 2 - The Presentation)
  • Create the sales page - You will need to write your sales letter or have it written (more details - PC4 The Sales Page)
  • Create your graphics - If you're not good at this, have it done
  • Set up a secure download - Minimize pirating as much as possible
  • Set up your affiliate program - If you decide to have one
  • Write your autoresponder messages - You do plan on building a list, right?
  • Create backend and/or One Time Offers - Get more bang for your buck
  • Develop your bonuses - If you are going to have any, and make sure they are relative to the main product
  • Market product - This will probably have its own series of articles, lol

There you have it. This list is not exhaustive by any means, there may be other steps depending on your product. We will be exploring each topic in depth soon, so stay tuned.

Talk soon,
